Demirel was invited by La Botie as creative director to design the stage for Tasaki's 60th birthday event at TOLOT Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.
Given the opportunity to work with Gerhard Richter's 8 Panes as part of his installation, Demirel played with reflections on Richter's sculpture to enhance his minimal light installation.
